THE Christina Huemer Lectureship

The American Academy in Rome is establishing a new lectureship in memory of Christina Huemer (1947–2010) and in recognition of her distinguished service as the Academy's Drue Heinz Librarian (1992–2007), her commitment to the Academy's history and devoted friendship with so many Academy Fellows, Residents, and readers in the Arthur & Janet C. Ross Library. Even before she was named librarian, Christina loved the Academy’s library and went there often for her own research. Her family reports that her days at the Academy were among the most important and meaningful in her life.

Members of the Academy community, library readers, Friends of the Library and Friends of Christina Huemer are invited to contribute to the establishment of this lectureship, with a gift to the American Academy in Rome. The Academy is a 501(c)(3) organization and contributions are tax-deductable.
