The Chris Celenza Library fund
This fund supports the collection of books relating to any aspect of Early Modern and Renaissance studies for the Arthur & Janet C. Ross Library. The fund honors the 21st director of the American Academy, Christopher Celenza, whose leadership did so much to open the doors of the American Academy to the scholars and artists of Rome. Under Professor Celenza's direction, not only Renaissance studies but all the humanities were enriched by his generosity, his dedication to academic excellence, and the example of his own ground-breaking work on Renaissance philosophy. The books purchased with this gift will continue to enrich the Fellows of the AAR and the scholars of Rome.
